bFlex at EIT Urban Mobility Hub Greece: Tackling Urban Mobility Challenges in Thessaloniki

On Monday, December 9th, our founder Robbert had the pleasure of presenting bFlex at the EIT Urban Mobility Hub Greece event titled “Urban Mobility in post-Metro Thessaloniki: Innovation for Tackling Challenges.” The event took place at the premises of the Alexander Innovation Zone in Thessaloniki, gathering key stakeholders from across the Greek urban mobility ecosystem.

A Gathering of Innovators and Change-Makers

The EIT Urban Mobility Hub Greece brought together a diverse group of participants, including:

  • Start-uppers and entrepreneurs working to transform urban mobility,
  • Researchers and academic entities contributing cutting-edge insights,
  • Transport authorities shaping the future of mobility systems, and
  • Government representatives addressing city-level mobility challenges.

The event provided an incredible opportunity for all of us to connect, share ideas, and discuss how innovation can solve some of Thessaloniki’s most pressing urban mobility issues.

bFlex: Our Contribution to the Urban Mobility Ecosystem

Presenting bFlex in front of such an engaged audience was a great experience. Our work focuses on developing flexible, smart mobility solutions that tackle the challenges of urban transportation while prioritizing efficiency, sustainability, and user-centric design. Thessaloniki, particularly in the wake of its evolving metro system, represents a city where innovation is not only welcome but absolutely necessary.

Key Takeaways and Opportunities

One of the highlights of the event was the insightful discussion surrounding the funding opportunities available for urban mobility start-ups. EIT’s Impact Ventures facility, presented by Mrs. Anna Burgues, underscored the importance of supporting entrepreneurial solutions that drive tangible change. The session offered invaluable information for those of us looking to scale our ideas and make a broader impact.

Equally inspiring was the opportunity to network with other passionate professionals and innovators from across the ecosystem. Events like these remind us that collaboration is the key to driving sustainable solutions forward.

Looking Ahead

As urban mobility continues to evolve, especially in cities like Thessaloniki, the role of innovation, start-ups, and collaborative efforts becomes more critical. bFlex is proud to contribute to this vision, and we look forward to engaging in future initiatives, forging partnerships, and scaling solutions that improve the way people move in cities.

A big thank you to EIT Urban Mobility Hub Greece for organizing this impactful event and to everyone who participated. The energy, insights, and connections made during the event were truly inspiring.

Let’s continue to innovate and create urban mobility solutions that make our cities smarter, greener, and more accessible for everyone.
