bFlex Founder Joins Panel at “Turning Ideas into Startups” Event

Last week, bFlex’s founder, Robbert, had the honor of joining the founder’s panel for a new cohort at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and Alba Graduate Business School‘s event, “Turning Ideas into Startups”. This exciting session was aimed at helping budding entrepreneurs from a group of 30 MBA and EMBA students develop their startup ideas and pitch them to experienced founders.

Robbert shared the inspiring story of bFlex, from its initial stages to becoming an all-in-one bicycle marketplace, now operating in multiple locations across Greece, including Athens, Aegina, Corfu, Kefalonia, Ioannina, Patras, and Crete. With his vision of addressing urban pollution in cities like Athens, Robbert highlighted the importance of creating sustainable transportation solutions that cater to different users. bFlex now allows people to rent bikes by the day, subscribe to a monthly service, or purchase their favorite bike, providing flexibility for everyone from tourists to city commuters.

During the panel, Robbert explained the company’s key pivot—a response to growing environmental concerns and changing consumer needs. He emphasized how bFlex’s mission to reduce pollution and ease congestion in urban environments led to the development of this adaptable platform. The journey wasn’t without its challenges, but the ability to pivot and focus on sustainable mobility was key to bFlex’s success.

The session ended with the MBA and EMBA participants presenting their own innovative startup ideas, filled with passion and ambition. We are excited to witness the continued growth of entrepreneurship in these communities and look forward to seeing these students’ ideas come to life.

Stay tuned as bFlex continues its mission to revolutionize urban transportation, city by city!
