bFlex Participates in MobiTool4U Proposal for AI System to Monitor SustainableUrban Mobility in Athens

Athens, 18 September – bFlex is pleased to announce its participation in the application for the MobiTool4U proposal, organized by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Alongside six leading companies, bFlex is collaborating on the proposed development of an integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) system for monitoring and evaluating sustainable urban mobility interventions in Athens.

MobiTool4U aims to address the growing challenges linked to urbanization and the increasing demand for urban transport. According to the United Nations, by 2050, approximately 67% of the global population is expected to reside in cities. This trend intensifies issues such as traffic congestion, road accidents, and air pollution, which are critical concerns in major cities like Athens.

The proposal envisions an AI-driven system that would provide continuous monitoring and reliable assessment of mobility policies and interventions. These measures would help improve access to alternative transportation, enhance traffic safety, reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, and increase the efficiency of urban transport, contributing to a more sustainable and livable urban environment.

By participating in this proposal, bFlex demonstrates its ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainable urban solutions. The outcome of the application is expected in the coming months.
