Helidoni Group, Coco-Mat.bike, Boxo and Angel Investors Back Innovative Sustainable Transportation Solution

Athens, 03/10 — FlexThis, an all-in-one bike marketplace and spin-off of bFlex, has successfully closed a €198,000 first funding round, organized by Investing for Purpose. The round saw participation from notable investors including Helidoni Group, Coco-Mat.bike, Boxo and a group of angel investors. This financing marks a significant step forward in FlexThis’s mission to reduce transportation-related pollution in Greece through sustainable e-mobility solutions.

The FlexThis platform enables vendors to offer bike fleets for rental, leasing, sales and bike tours, providing businesses with an opportunity to diversify revenue streams and optimize operations year-round. By centralizing a variety of bike services, FlexThis is reshaping the Greek e-mobility landscape and promoting more flexible, sustainable transportation options.

The company is already active in key locations across Greece, including Athens, Aegina, Corfu, Kefalonia, Ioannina, Patras, Crete, and Rhodes. Founded by Robbert van der Meer, CEO of FlexThis, the company builds on the success of bFlex, Greece’s first bike subscription service. bFlex has already prevented 90,000 kg of CO2 from being emitted since 2020. By collaborating with local entrepreneurs and increasing the number of available bikes, FlexThis aims to significantly accelerate the prevention of CO2 emissions.

Robbert van der Meer, CEO and founder of FlexThis, commented: “We’re thrilled to have the support of investors who share our vision for sustainable transportation. This funding will allow us to grow our team, enhance our platform and scale our marketplace, further reducing transportation pollution across Greece.”

Alexis Zitrides, Managing Director of Helidoni Group, commented: “FlexThis is setting a new standard for sustainable mobility in Greece. By helping businesses maximize the potential of their bike fleets, they are driving both economic growth and environmental impact. I am proud to be part of this journey”.

Markos Komondouros, Partner at Investing for Purpose, commented: ”We have worked closely with Robbert over the past two years to help prepare this funding and our delighted with the result. Part of the financing comes through a pioneering structured performance-based loan.  This innovative approach opens a new path for funding Greek impact-driven companies, offering them the opportunity to grow sustainably while aligning with their purpose.”

The €198,000 round will support FlexThis in expanding its team, developing its platform and scaling its services across Greece, helping local vendors to maximize their offerings while contributing to a greener future.
