Explore Rethymno’s Hidden Gems and Breathtaking Landscapes by E-Bike

Our journey begins with a gentle climb south on our SPECIALIZED^© e-bikes, offering stunning views of Rethymno’s sparkling north coast. The first stop is the peaceful Halevi Church, a charming chapel surrounded by tranquility, where we’ll take a moment to appreciate its serene beauty and historic significance.

From here, we continue to the entrance of Mili Gorge, a natural haven of lush greenery and captivating charm. A short and easy 20-minute hike immerses us in the gorge’s peaceful atmosphere, leading us to explore an abandoned settlement where crumbling stone walls tell stories of times long past.

Afterward, we climb toward the delightful village of Chromonastiri, a traditional gem nestled on the hills, known for its beautifully preserved Venetian architecture. We’ll navigate its narrow streets, taking in its charm before following a scenic dirt road through nature to Prasses Village. Perched on a hillside, Prasses enchants visitors with its quiet lanes and authentic Cretan vibe.

Next, we head to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Amari Valley and the majestic Psiloritis Mountain, Crete’s highest peak. It’s the perfect spot to capture some unforgettable photos of these sweeping landscapes. Our descent begins here, taking us across the Simma Bridge, the tallest stone bridge in Crete, and onward to the Potami Dam and its stunning reservoir. This serene spot, surrounded by dramatic landscapes, offers an ideal location for scenic photography as we ride the peaceful roads circling the sparkling waters.

We then take a well-deserved break at a family-owned taverna, where a light, traditional Cretan lunch awaits. Refreshed and recharged, we begin the final leg of our journey. Our route leads to Giannoudi Village, a quaint settlement exuding charm and history, before we finish with a relaxing ride along the coast road, bringing us back to our starting point in Rethymno.
